Your FinAcc account

Registration saves your name, email address and a salted password hash. We do not store your password as readable text. Essential, protected session cookies keep you signed in; the location-statistics switch does not disable these account cookies.

Your records and documents are associated with your account and checked on the server before access. A registered email account is separate from an existing ChatGPT workspace, even if both use the same email address. Creating an account does not grant access to the practice owner’s dashboard.

Email addresses remain unverified until an email-verification service is connected and the account holder completes verification. When that service is enabled, it can send account verification and password-reset links. Registration and login attempts are rate-limited; security counters use hashed keys and do not appear in visitor statistics.

Your enquiry

When you submit a question, we save your name, chosen contact details, service, message and consent record in our practice inbox. We use them to respond and manage follow-up. The form is not intended for passwords, OTPs, tax documents or government identification numbers.

Only the authorised practice owner can access the enquiry inbox. When an alert service is connected, it receives the owner’s notification address or number and a generic new-enquiry alert. Your question and contact details are not included in that alert.

Approximate visitor locations

We use basic location statistics to understand which cities, states and countries our website reaches. Our hosting service supplies an approximate network location when available. The practice dashboard shows grouped location counts, not individual visitor profiles.

This statistics feature stores the approximate city, region, country and calendar day of a page visit, with a random record reference. It does not store your IP address, contact details, device information, referring website, exact visit time or GPS coordinates. It does not use tracking cookies or identify you across visits. Our hosting service still processes connection information to deliver the website.

Statistics are enabled by default. You can switch them off using “Approximate location statistics” at the bottom of the homepage. We respect your browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track preference, and a previous choice to decline analytics. Your preference is saved only in your browser; it is not used as a visitor identifier.

Locations may reflect an internet provider, mobile network or VPN. They do not identify a person or street address. Signed-in owner visits are excluded. Location records expire after 30 days and are removed on the next statistics or dashboard operation.

Storage and your choices

Enquiries remain in the practice inbox for follow-up until removed through a data-removal request. You can ask to access, correct or remove an enquiry by submitting a message using the same contact details and referencing the enquiry number. We may need to verify the request before acting.

You can turn location statistics off in the homepage footer. This does not prevent you from asking a question.
